PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
The HD Low Headroom Single Girder Overhead Crane is a European-style crane engineered specifically for workshops where vertical clearance is limited but lifting height requirements are high. Unlike standard LDA-type cranes, the HD model uses a specially designed low headroom electric hoist mounted to the underside flange of the main girder — significantly reducing the distance between the hook and the top of the crane structure, and maximising effective hook travel without requiring any modification to the existing building.
The crane is suitable for facilities where the clearance between the rail surface and the roof rafter is 100 mm or less — conditions where a conventional overhead crane simply cannot deliver adequate lifting height. The result is greater hook coverage within the same building envelope, without the cost of raising the roof or restructuring the facility.
The main girder uses a rigid box-section design, providing high structural stiffness across spans from 7.5 to 31.5 metres. Lifting capacity ranges from 1 to 20 tonnes, with working duty classifications from A3 to A5 to suit light and intermediate-duty production environments. Control options include pendant ground control, wireless remote, or operator cabin — configurable to suit facility layout and operator preference. Main electrical components are sourced from Schneider (France).
The HD crane is not rated for use in combustible, explosive, or chemically corrosive environments.
