PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
The QB Explosion-Proof Double Girder Overhead Crane is a purpose-built lifting solution for workshops and industrial facilities where flammable gases, vapours, or explosive atmospheres are present. All motors and electrical components comply with GB3836.2-2000, the Chinese national standard for flameproof electrical apparatus in explosive gas atmospheres, and the complete machine is certified to JB/T5897-2006 for explosion-proof bridge cranes. The crane carries explosion-proof grades ExdIIBT4 and ExdIICT4, covering hazardous Zone 1 and Zone 2 environments.
The flameproof enclosure design means that any internal electrical spark or arc is fully contained within a sealed, pressure-resistant housing — preventing ignition of surrounding explosive atmospheres. For ExdIICT4 applications, the crane's wheel treads and flanges are manufactured from copper alloy or equivalent non-sparking materials to eliminate any risk of friction-induced ignition during travel.
The double-girder box section structure spans from 10.5 to 31.5 metres and handles lifting capacities from 5 to 75 tonnes in standard configurations, with heavier capacities available on request. The crane is suited to continuous and high-intensity operation — a key distinction from lighter-duty explosion-proof crane types. Standard control is by ground pendant; cab control can be specified where the operating environment permits.
Unlike standard overhead cranes, the QB is not rated for remote radio control in its standard configuration. All electrical components — motors, brake systems, control panels, and junction boxes — are sealed to explosion-proof specifications throughout, with no standard industrial components substituted.
